According to CTV news, a Canadian news organization, "Federal offices in Washington, D.C. will be closed on Monday thanks to a powerful blizzard that dumped more than 60 centimetres of snow on the U.S. capital...  The closing will cost about $100 million. About 230,000 government employees will stay home..."

Even the once mighty Capitalist snow plow was brought to it's knees...

Of course one would expect that the former and, in their minds, future, Soviets are quite happy abou this.  Even if they are basking in the glory of the US being pummeled by what could be called Russia's greatest natural resource*, certainly they cannot be blamed for this occurance.  Or can they?

Everyone loves a snowflake...

In October 2009, Moscow mayor Yury Luzhkov promised that this winter there would be no more snow.  Unfortunately, this winter was a record-breaking year for snow in Moscow leading our experienced researchers here at Pinkomenace.com to believe that Russia had been premature in announcing that they could control the weather in a preventative way.  However, in a typical Soviet era style half-truth, Yury would not have made a claim about being able to control the weather unless they did have the technology under development.

According to the Tom Bearden Website, quoting former US defense secretary Cohen in 1997,  "Others are engaging even in an eco-type of terrorism whereby they can alter the climate, set off earthquakes, volcanoes remotely through the use of electromagnetic waves...  It's real, and that's the reason why we have to intensify our efforts..."  So most likely the Russians are able to use and manipulate weather paterns in an offensive role, but not in a way that could help the citizens of Moscow avoid snowfall this winter.

Embarassed at Moscow being drenched in snow.  Russia turned this weather-control technology on Washington so as to keep Americans from dwelling on their misfortune.  Wrapped up in their own winter problems, America has largely forgotten about  Russia's winter weather.  Reports are that this Russian snow-onslaught was so effective that school had to be cancelled in parts of Florida.

* "Could be called" since snow is being trucked in to Vancouver this year for the winter olympics at an unknown, but probably expensive cost.
