In our article on 11/08/09 about "Extreme Russian Cat Breeding", we discussed how Russia is now experimenting with "Breeding cats for either offensive or peaceful roles."  We would tend to believe it is the former as a precursor to invasion.  Although this article may have scared many of our readers into stocking up on tuna and catnip to appease their new cat overlords, the British are working on an answer. Although it appears that the Soviets are further along in their cat breeding program than the British are in their response, it seems the Brits are making great progress.
 

As seen in the preceding video, scientists in Surry, England have managed to make a mouse-controlled robot.  This robot is quite weak as of this writing and will only live for a matter of months before the brain has to be "replaced."  We believe, however, that it will only be a matter of years before a fully functional rat-bot will be available.  We can only pray that Russia does not decide to unleash it's cat army before then.

Through research and interpolation, our artists have created this sketch of what a fully-functional mouse battle robot would look like.  It is estimated that these fully functional rat-bots will be able to match communist trained cats 2 to 1 because of their superior metal exoskeleton.  No word yet on how this system will integrate with possible new generations of trained American cats like "Acoustic Kitty."

UPDATE 11/26/2009:

In a possible American answer to the Russian Cat Menace, PETA has encouraged the University of Georgia to replace mascot UGA VII with a robot.  Although we had long had our suspicions of PETA being in league with the pinkos, their encouragement of UGA to develop an American robotic counter to the rampant Russian cat breeding has shown them to be true friends of Capitalism.
